Stockport Events are the events team for Stockport Council. In September 2019 they entered the Wedding Industry Awards for the first time and were delighted to be shortlisted in all 3 categories:
- Best Events Team
- Best Town/City Venue – Stockport Town Hall
- Best Countryside Venue – Bramall Hall
Unlike other wedding awards these awards are not about how many votes you get, enabling suppliers of all sizes to compete on a level playing field.
The Wedding Industry Awards are judged by industry professionals and take into account client feedback, marketing collateral, the nominees’ offer and many other factors.
This year there were over 1100 entries with 700 shortlisted to the regional finals.
Stockport Events Manager Vicky Eyre said:
“To be shortlisted in all 3 categories was a huge achievement in itself for us. The North West Regional Awards were held at Ashfield House in Wigan on Tuesday 12th November 2019 where we were awarded Best Town/City Venue (Stockport Town Hall) for the entire North West!
We were absolutely over the moon as we are on a huge journey and this demonstrates just how far we have come.
This prestigious award really adds value to our product”
