Meet Ebony, Ebony is one of our Event Managers and joined the team in August 2023. Here are some words from Ebony about what it is like to work in our team...I started my hospitality journey 16 years ago in the Kitchen at a Restaurant working part time whilst completing my A Levels. I have known that I wanted to work in events from the age of 8 after I watched the film the Wedding Planner, it looked like so much fun! As I moved through my education, I realised that I love to organise, a key skill for running events. After completing my A-Levels, I went on to study Events Management at University. Since graduating, I have worked on a range of events (conferences, private functions, sporting events and weddings) within hotels. I have a strong work ethic and it is important to me that all my clients enjoy themselves and have a smooth sailing event.I love working in the events and hospitality industry as no day is the same and it allows me to work with a wide variety of people. I love that my role at Stockport Events is fast paced and ever changing. I love my team and it is great that we can all have a laugh and enjoy spending time with each other whilst working extremely hard. Working at multiple venues is fantastic and something that I have never done before so I am enjoying the new challenge.My favourite venue is Chadkirk Chapel because it is a hidden beauty, the grounds are stunning and if you love Weddings as much as I do it really is the perfect Venue.A fun fact about me is I love to read, I have read 13 books so far this year and since moving to Stockport I have joined a monthly book club.
