Just over 18 months ago, the Events team at Stockport Council didn’t exist. Well, it did, just nowhere near as slick and casually commercial as it is right now.  In June 2017, the wheels were put in motion to rebrand Stockport Council’s ‘Venue Management’ team as ‘Stockport Events; Venues of Distinction’.   With new branding, brochures, a new website and new Venues added to their portfolio, it has been a busy 18 months.

The team of dedicated coordinators have over 80 years’ experience within the Events Industry and customer experience is their primary focus.  With a passion for Weddings and ensuring they deliver the special day that every couple dream of, first class service is guaranteed, with a dedicated coordinator taking couples through the whole process from the initial point of enquiry through to managing the wedding on the day. Our team work closely with couples discussing ideas, helping with suppliers and providing advice to ensure the planning process is stress free and the day goes to plan without a hitch.

Stockport Events; Venues of Distinction have something on offer for every couple with Venues ranging from the Historic Bramall Hall to the instantly iconic Stockport Town Hall to the newly licensed Chadkirk Chapel.  Specialising in Bespoke Weddings, the variety of Venues enable the team to offer Wedding Ceremonies, Wedding Breakfasts and Evening Receptions; a full day of celebrations.  Bramall Hall and Chadkirk Chapel benefit from extensive grounds and parkland and are able to offer Marquees and Tipis and the double Italian marble staircase and beautiful stained glass windows at Stockport Town Hall provide the perfect backdrop for photographs.

The team will be showcasing their Venues at their next Wedding Fayre at Stockport Town Hall on Sunday 21st October between 11am and 3pm, entry is free and each couple that register their details with Stockport Events on the day get a free goody bag and glass of Bucks Fizz.
